That was a truely great Sunday night yesterday (4th Feb) @ Boogaloo in Köln!!
When we started to play our first tune (the Voidsuckers Theme) the place was absolutely crammed.
Our rhythm section with Funkmunk (dr) and Felix "the magical cat" was absolutely fast & furious!
People started to dance immediately, but there was not much space left, so it was getting really hot soon.
When we played "Ain't it funky" the place was cooking and we were playing on and on until our "Blackbird" tune made the whole place sing in delight. Fab's muted trumpet solos and brother Jake's superhot and funky sax licks turned each and everybody on!
What a wonderful night, thanks to David the fantastic owner and one of the last true believers in the power of funk & soul music. Keep that great place alive at least another 10 years :-)
